The geologic foundation of SeVein was laid millions of years ago in one of the world’s largest lava flows, the Columbia River Basalts, resulting in thousands of feet of dense basalt covering the Inland Northwest. Reworked through the eons by violent uplifting, fragmentation, and subsequent ice-age floods, these rolling hillsides were then gently frosted with layers of wind-deposited loess. In the last three decades, man has begun to grace her slopes with vineyards capable of producing some of the finest wines in the world.

From vineyard design to clone selection and irrigation practices, SeVein property owners have the option of consulting with the North Slope Management’s team to bring their vineyard vision to life. Owned fully by the developing partners, NSM provides vineyard property owners professional turn-key services to design, develop, and operate their vineyards with precision.

Countless wines from Seven Hills Vineyard have been given 90 and higher scores in wine publications—Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirits Magazine, Wine Enthusiast—and by wine critics Steve Tanzer and Robert Parker. In June 2004, Wine & Spirits Magazine named Seven Hills Vineyard as “One of Ten Great Vineyards in the World.” The majority of the vineyard is now beyond ten years in age, and fruit consistency and quality continues to climb.
